Abnaa El Dad
The Arabic Language Competition (مباراة أبناء الضاد)

Under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture, the SAVE THE BOOK Association organized the “Abnaa El Dād” competition for high school students in Lebanon. The event was attended by lawyer Ziad Beidoun, representing Minister of Culture Mohammed Wissam Al-Mourtada, along with a large gathering of academic, educational, social, cultural, media, economic, and legal figures, as well as parents.

The competition included twenty questions from the Arabic language curriculum for secondary school students. Participants competed in a closed hall under the supervision of monitoring teachers. Specialized committees corrected the competitions, and nine students out of 298 received a score of 18/20, qualifying them for direct final eliminations on stage. The results were as follows:

1st Place: Hadi Qasim – Mustafa High School, Harat Hreik (won $1,000 provided by Global Education).
2nd Place: Farah Al Maaz and Fareeda Ahmed – Iman High School, Aaramoun (each won $500 provided by TAD NGO and ADHD Mentors & Supporters).
3rd Place: Jana Sabra and Zahraa Bleibel – Siraj Yanouh Secondary School, Sour, and Randa Hamdouni – Message High School, Aaramoun (each won $250 provided by Mother Goose Nursery, Revue, and Ta Mabsouta).

Honorable mentions, each receiving $100 provided by Khalil Services, were awarded to: Abeer Zein El-Dine – Mustafa High School, Qsarnaba; Mohammed Ezz Eldin – Mustafa High School, Harat Hreik; and Zeinab Sbeiti – Batoul High School.
